WORLD FOOD DAY DRAWING CONTEST

TERMS & CONDITIONS

Who can take part?

The contest is open to all current students in the schools that are participating in Food from the Heart’s (FFTH) Clean Plate Campaign this year. 

All participants are encouraged to find out more about food as a precious resource and World Food Day from FFTH’s e-resources before they start. 

 

How do you take part? 

  • Participation is free of charge. 
  • The entry period is from 1 August 2024 and will close on 1 October 2024. Submission portal will close on 1 October 2024, 6:00pm.  
  • The competition is divided into two categories: Preschool and Primary School. 
  • Multiple entries from one person is allowed. However, only one entry per person will be selected as one of the winning entries.
  • Entries may be drawn, painted or sketched using pens, pencils, crayons or charcoal, or using oil, acrylic or watercolour paint, as well as mixed media. Digitally created artwork is not permitted. No photographs are allowed.
  • Size of drawing to be at least A4 or no larger than A3.
  • Entries may or may not include text. If text is included, please keep it short – no more than 25 words. Do not include personal information, such as names, school names or age, and family information etc. 
  • All artwork must be original and should not include logos or photographic images of the Contestant or other personal information. 
  • Entries can only be submitted via FFTH’s Clean Plate Campaign microsite https://cleanplatecampaign.foodfromtheheart.sg/for-participating-schools/. All fields in the Contest Entry form must be completed and after uploading the poster design, the ENTER button must be clicked. Younger children may need help from an adult in making their online submission. 
  • Submissions must be made through school teachers who have access to the submission portal.
  • For submission, only digital files saved as in JPEG or PDF formats no larger than 5MB will be accepted.

 

Prizes

  • Three posters in each category will be selected as the winning entries: 1x First Prize and 2x Runner-Up.
  • Winners will receive a Certificate of Recognition and a Prize:
    • First Prize: Four tickets to Universal Studios Singapore + Express Pass (For 2x adults and 2x children), worth $650.
    • Runner-Up: Four tickets to Universal Studios Singapore (For 2x adults and 2x children) worth $290.
  • In total, there will be six winning entries across the two categories.
  • Winners will be announced on 16 October 2024, World Food Day, on FFTH’s website and social media channels along with their entries. The teachers from the winners’ schools will also be notified on the same day at 9am via email.
  • Winning posters will be published with the only the first name, age, and school of the Contestants (e.g. John, 10, Anderson Primary School). No other personal information about the Contestants will be published or shared.
  • FFTH will share contact details of the winners with the Sponsor‘s team (FairPrice Foundation), to link them up for sharing on their communications channels.
  • In the event that any of the selected winner(s) of any prize is/are cannot be traced and/or contacted, or refuses the prize, the prize will be forfeited. FFTH will pick another entry to award the prize.
